Licensing and Regulation

Last updated: 15 October 2026

Short version. Fort Langley is an independent publisher. We do not hold a gambling licence, we do not accept bets or deposits, and we are not an operator.

Before you sign up anywhere, check the operator’s licence on the regulator’s own public register and read the licence conditions yourself, because a statement on a review site can never replace the official record.

That distinction matters when you read our posts. We test payment routes and game fairness on our own time, then write up what we measured. Licensing sits in a different lane, and this page explains how we handle it.

What we are, and what we are not

We run timed deposits and withdrawals, and we check game hashes against published seeds. Those tests tell you what happened on the days we ran them. They do not make us a regulator, and they do not make us a party to your account.

If you have a dispute with an operator, we cannot resolve it. We have no authority over any operator, no access to player funds, and no power to compel a payout. What we can do is show our working.

How we check a licence claim

When an operator says it is licensed, we treat that as a claim to verify, not a fact to repeat. The process is short and anyone can run it.

  • Find the regulator named in the claim and open its public register.
  • Search the licence holder name and match it to the legal entity behind the site, not the brand name on the homepage.
  • Confirm the licence status is active and check which products and markets it covers.

If the register does not list the entity, or the licence covers a different market, we say so in the post. We do not name operators as licensed or unlicensed on this page, and we do not publish licence numbers.

Regulators Canadian players meet

In Ontario, iGaming Ontario works with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario to oversee regulated online gambling. The AGCO handles licensing and standards, and iGaming Ontario conducts and manages the market. Operators in that market are expected to appear on the public listings.

The Kahnawake Gaming Commission licenses operators from Kahnawake, Quebec, and has done so for a long time. Offshore, the Malta Gaming Authority and the Curacao authorities are the names you will see most often on sites serving Canadian players. Each publishes its own register and its own rules.

These bodies differ in scope, in how they handle complaints, and in what they publish. A licence from one is not the same as a licence from another.

A licence is not a guarantee

A valid licence means an operator met a regulator’s entry requirements and remains subject to that regulator’s rules. It does not mean every withdrawal is fast, every bonus term is clear, or every dispute goes your way.

Read the terms, test with a small deposit first, and keep your own records. If gambling stops being fun, the Responsible Gambling Council Canada at responsiblegambling.org has practical tools. In Ontario, ConnexOntario is reachable at 1-866-531-2600 or connexontario.ca. Elsewhere, PlaySmart at playsmart.ca offers support online.
